- Qualifications:
  - i) Graduate in Civil Engineering with a first or second class from a recognized University or Institution or AMIE (Civil Engineering) with a minimum of two years of experience as an SDO or five years of experience as a Section Officer in the Central Government, State Government, or a Government Institution.
  - ii) Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with a minimum of seven years of experience as a Section Officer in the Central Government, State Government, or a Government Institution.

  - (IV) Must have passed a test in English and Punjabi (in Unicode Compliant Font Raavi) on a computer, conducted by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board or the appointing authority, or the Department of Information Technology, as the case may be, at a speed of thirty words per minute.
Note: For Group 'B' non-technical posts offered to a War Hero discharged from Defense Services or a dependent member of his family, the educational qualification required is a Graduate from a recognized university. However, such persons are not required to qualify for the Punjabi-writing test mentioned above.
