CORRIGENDUM No. 2

RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF HEAD CONSTABLE IN THE INVESTIGATION CADRE IN PUNJAB POLICE - 2021

1. In partial modification of Advertisement No. 4 dated 04 August. 2021, the examination for Recruitment to the post of Head constable in investigation cadre of Punjab Police shall now be conducted in MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) pattern in OMR mode instead of the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. As such, the words Computer Based Test/Examination used in Advertisement No. 4 dated 04 August, 2021 be read as OMR based MCQ Test/Examination.

2. In order to provide opportunity to aspirants, who may not have applied earlier in view of the exam being scheduled in Computer Based Test mode, fresh applications, with prescribed fee as given in Advertisement No. 4 dated 04 August 2021, are invited from such aspirants, who fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in Advertisement No 4 dated 04 August, 2021 and corrigendum published on 22.08.2021.

3. Further, if a candidate, who had applied earlier, wishes to make corrections in the data entered in the previous application, she/he may apply afresh with the prescribed fee. In such a case her/his latest application shall be considered as final.

4. The recruitment portal shall remain open with effect from 4.00 PM on 14 August 2022 to 11.55 PM on 4 September, 2022 for receiving fresh applications from the above-mentioned aspirants.

5. All other applicants, who do not wish to make any corrections in the application submitted by them earlier, need not apply again. All candidates shall, however, be issued fresh Admit cards for exams, the date(s) for which shall be notified separately.

6. with reference to Para 5.2 in Advertisement No. 4, it is again clarified that essential eligibility for the minimum age shall be 18 years as on 01 January, 2021, as published in Corrigendum dated 22 August, 2021.

7. with regard to Note 1 to point no. 5.3.1 of Advertisement No.4 dated 04 August, 2021 it is clarified that the date for fulfilling eligibility condition with respect to educational qualifications is 3 August 2021, which was the last date of submission of online application as per Corrigendum dated 22 August, 2021. All eligibility conditions and cut-off dates for fulfilling eligibility conditions remain the same as mentioned in Advertisement No. 4 dated 04 August, 2021 and Corrigendum dated 22 August, 2021.

8. With respect to point no. 7.2 of Advertisement No. 4 dated 04 August 2021, it is clarified that no normalisation shall apply in case each paper is conducted for all candidates in one go.
 

9. In partial modification of point no. 14 (xvii) of Advertisement No. 4 dated 04 August 2021 regarding the online application procedure, it is notified that the last date & time for submission of online application by aspirants/candidates as mentioned in paras 2 and 3 above shall be 17.55 PM on 04 September. 2022.
