Methane
The Greenhouse Effect is the warming of the Earth’s surface due to the trapping of heat by greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere. These gases allow sunlight to enter the atmosphere freely, but when the Earth's surface emits energy in the form of infrared radiation, these gases absorb and trap some of the heat, preventing it from escaping back into space. This process keeps the Earth warm enough to sustain life but can lead to global warming when intensified by human activities.
Adiabatic
In thermodynamics, an adiabatic process is one in which no heat is transferred to or from the gas to its surroundings. This means that all changes in the internal energy of the system result from work done by or on the system, not from heat exchange.
55 Decibels
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India has set specific permissible noise levels for different areas to control noise pollution. These levels are defined for both day and night times and vary depending on the type of area (residential, commercial, industrial, or silent zone).
Stratosphere
The ozone layer, which is responsible for absorbing the majority of the sun's harmful ultra-violet (UV) radiation, is located in the stratosphere. The stratosphere is the second layer of the Earth's atmosphere, situated above the troposphere and below the mesosphere.
