The compilation of the Adi Granth was completed in 1604 CE, not 1606 CE. Guru Arjun Dev Ji compiled the sacred scripture by collecting the Bani (teachings) of earlier Gurus and saints like Kabir Ji and Baba Farid, with the assistance of Bhai Gurdas Ji. Baba Mohan Ji was instrumental in preserving the earlier Gurus' Bani, which was collected by Guru Arjun Dev Ji.
